Xceed Federal Credit Union Certificate Rates
Xceed Federal Credit Union headquartered in El Segundo, California is advertising regular certificate rates, jumbo certificate rates and Individual Retirement Account (IRA) certifcate rates. Xceed Federal Credit Union certificate rates are competitive but the credit union's rates are not the highest rates available. There are many credit union certificate rates and bank CD rates that are higher.
Xceed Federal Credit Union's current 12 month regular certificate (CD) rates are at 0.65 percent with an APY of 0.65 percent. 12 month IRA certificate rates and 12 month jumbo certificate rates are also at 0.65 percent with an APY of 0.65 percent. Right now on our 12 month CD rates list there are CD bank rates above 1.00 percent. The best CD rates on our 12 month rate list are at 1.09 percent with an APY of 1.10 percent, almost double Xceed's current 12 month rate.
Xceed FCU's rates are better than the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation's national average rates. The FDIC's current 12 month national CD interest rates are at 0.27 percent. Higher than the credit union's 12 month rate but again not higher than the best 12 month rates on our list. That distiction belongs to CIT Bank and Bank of Internet which are both currently offering 12 month CD rates at banks at 1.09 percent with an APY of 1.10 percent.
The longest term certificate offered by Xceed FCU, 5 year certifcates, have a current interest rate of 1.39 percent with an APY of 1.40 percent. Both regular 5 year certificate accounts and 5 year IRA certificate accounts earn that rate and yield. The FDIC's national averavge 5 year CD rate is at 0.98 percent. The highest CD ratse on 5 year certificates of deposit on our 5 year rate list are higher at 1.83 percent with an APY of 1.85 percent.

Both regular certificate rates and IRA certificate rates have a minimum opening deposit of $500. 30 day, 90 day and 180 day jumbo certificates have a minimum opening deposit of $50,000. 12 month certificates have a minimum opening deposit of $100,000.
