Amtrust Direct is offering some of the highest CD rates available these days. The bank's CD rates are tiered but it looks like they are offering the same CD rate and CD yield for account balances between $1,000 and $500,000 and up.

For a 12 month certificate of deposit the bank is currently offering a CD rate of 1.686 percent with an annual percentage yield (APY) of 1.70 percent. That rate and yield is a lot higher than the national average 12 month CD rate which is currently around 1.00 percent.

The Bank also has some of the best CD rates at banks for shorter term certificates of deposit. Right now the 6 month CD rate is 1.39 percent with an APY of 1.40 percent.

Longer term certificate of deposits also have some of the best CD rates available. 36 month certificate of deposit rates are currently at 2.42 percent with an APY of 2.45 percent.
