Bank CD Rates Down Again This WeekBank CD rates are down again this week over last, continuing the slow agonizing descent of the past two years. 18 month and 36 month certificate of deposit rates were the only CD rates higher this week.

The average 18 month CD rates at banks increased to 1.225 percent, up from the prior week’s average CD rate of 1.091 percent. 36 month CD rates are up to 1.902 percent, up from the prior week's average of 1.650 percent.

3 month certificate of deposit rates are averaging 0.482 percent this week, unchanged from the prior week's average rate.

6 month CD rates are average at 0.768 percent, unchanged from last week’s average interest rate.

12 month bank CD interest rates are averaging 1.034 percent, down from the previous average CD rate of 1.041 percent.

18 month interest CD rates are averaging 1.225 percent, up from the prior week’s average rate of 1.091 percent.

24 month rates are averaging 1.482 percent this week, down from the previous week’s average of 1.485 percent.

36 month certifciate of deposit rates are averaging 1.902 percent, up from the prior week’s average of 1.650 percent.

48 month CD rates are averaging 2.087  percent, down from last week’s average rate of 2.094 percent.

60 month certificate of deposit interest rates are averaging 2.396 percent, down from the prior week's average of 2.399 percent.
