Current CD Rates at Banks on 3 Year Certificates of Deposit

Right now the best 3 year CD rates at banks are at 1.50 percent. A 1.50 percent 3 year bank CD rate might not seem like much when you think back a few years ago but if you compare 1.50 percent to the FDIC's national average of 0.63 percent things start to look a lot better.

The bank offering a 3 year CD rate at 1.50 percent is Doral Bank. The rate is actually 1.49 percent and the APY is 1.50 percent. You probably won't find higher CD rates on 3 year certificates of deposit right now.




Both these bank CD rates are on our 3 year CD interest rate list. Other 3 year CD rates on our list that are considerably higher than the average rate include 3 year CIT Bank CD rates at 1.41 percent with an APY of 1.42 percent.

The fourth best CD rate on our list of 3 year interest rates is at 1.34 percent with an APY of 1.35 percent. 3 year Discover Bank CD rates and 3 year Barclays Bank CD rates are both at 1.34 percent.

Two banks are offering the fifth best 3 year rate on our list.Virtual Bank and USAA Bank are both offering 3 year CD rates at 1.30 percent with an APY of 1.31 percent. The top 5 rates on our list are all more then double the FDIC's national average rate.

Moving onto the sixth highest CD rate on our list we find two banks, AbleBanking and Ally Bank. Both AbleBanking CD rates and Ally Bank CD rates on 3 year certificates of deposit are at 1.29 percent with an APY of 1.30 percent.
