In addition to regular certificates of deposit Discover Bank is also offering a 12 month Penalty-free CD with a current annual percentage yield of 1.84%. If you lose your job involuntary you can withdraw the principal and any interest earned penalty free.

This penalty free deal is only for 12 month certificates of deposit and 12-month IRA certificates of deposit. If you're interested in the Penalty-free CD you better hurry because you have to open a CD account before December 31, 2009.
