The best CD rate on our rate list is from EverBank at 0.66 percent with an APY of 0.66 percent. E-Loan is right behind EverBank with a current 3 month rate of 0.65 percent with an APY of 0.65 percent.

These CD rates are very competitive considering the national average 12 month CD rate is only 11 basis points higher at 0.77 percent. Virtual Bank has the third best CD rate on our list at 0.50 percent with an APY of 0.50 percent.

Three banks are tied with the fourth highest CD interest rate on our list. AloStar Bank of Commerce, OneWest Bank, FSB and Barclays Bank CD rates on 3 month certificates of deposit are offered at 0.45 percent with an APY of 0.45 percent.

Rounding out the top 5 CD rates is Ally Bank. The bank is offering 3 month bank CD rates at 0.44 percent with an APY of 0.44 percent. The sixth best CD rate on our list is from Discover Bank. Current 3 month Discover Bank CD rates are offered at 0.40 percent with an APY of 0.40 percent.
