Top 12 Month CD Rates: Best CD Rates at 1.11% APY
Two banks have recently raised the CD rates the banks are paying on 12 month certificates of deposit so we now have a new leader with the highest CD rates available on a 12 month certificate of deposit. Alsostar Bank of Commerce is now offering 12 month bank CD rates at 1.10 percent with an APY of 1.11 percent. That rate tops our 12 month best CD rates list and that rate is also much higher than Bankrate's current national average 12 month CD rate of 0.72 percent.
Two banks which used to be tied with the best CD rates on 12 month certificates of deposit are now in second place on our list. CIT Bank CD rates and Bank of Internet USA CD rates on 12 month CD accounts are currently at 1.09 percent with an APY of 1.10 percent.
CD rates at banks in the FDIC's national average rate survey are considerably less then our top two 12 month CD interest rates. The FDIC's current national average 12 month rate is at 0.26 percent and jumbo CD rates in the FDIC's rate survey are also lower at 0.28 percent.
Other banks on our list that are offering 1 year CD bank rates well above the average rates include two more banks tied with the third highest rate. Colorado Federal Savings Bank and MetLife Bank are both offering 1 year bank CD rates at 1.04 percent with an APY of 1.05 percent.
Moving onto the fourth best CD rate on our national 12 month rate list we find Ally Bank. Today's Ally Bank CD rates on their regular 1 year certificates of deposit are at 1.03 percent with an APY of 1.04 percent. The fifth best CD bank rate on our list is from a Beverly Hills, California based bank. EH National Bank CD rates on 12 month CDs are currently offered at 1.02 percent with an APY of 1.02 percent. Next on our list is Doral Bank with a current 12 month rate of 1.01 percent with an APY of 1.01 percent.
AbleBanking has the seventh best rate on our national rate list. Current AbleBanking CD rates on 12 month CDs are at 1.00 percent with an APY of 1.00 percent. AbleBanking is a relatively new entry to the online CD account market and have been offering one of the top 10 CD rates.
The eight highest CD rate on our list is below 1.00 percent but still above the national average rate. We have eight different banks offering 12 month CD rates at 0.90 percent with an APY of 0.90 percent. Since there are so many banks offering this rate and yield I won't mention every single one but here are a couple. Discover Bank CD rates and Barclays Bank CD rates are both at 0.90 percent with an APY of 0.90 percent.
